Events By The Bay fully understands that a DJ can make or break a wedding reception. We understand this more completely than most wedding coordinating services because for 9 years we owned and operated Aardvark Sound DJ Service and enjoyed much success and great reviews over the years for providing superb entertainment at countless weddings. However, with the growth of Events By The Bay, we have decided to revamp our approach to DJ Services. For the past several years we’ve been blessed to have Aaron Wolinski and Susan Melton a part of the Aardvark family. Both are seasoned disc jockeys and emcees and have worked with Aardvark Sound providing their talented services at many weddings. Recently, each has felt the desire to start their own business and we wish them much success. So much so that Events By The Bay has agreed to function as booking agents for both. It gives us great pleasure to present Avatar Media Productions (AMP) and Imagine Sound as locally owned and operated professional disc jockey services that will treat your wedding reception with the care and special attention it deserves. Because Aaron Wolinski of AMP and Susan Melton of Imagine Sound worked with Aardvark Sound for years, both understand and appreciate the business philosophy that Aardvark embraced, putting the emphasis on excellent customer service, years of experience, professionalism and quality entertainment. Please read on to learn more about how Avatar Media Production and Imagine Sound will approach your wedding reception. Experience: Our main focus is providing a polished event to your specifications. Our years of experience have taught us that every wedding is special and unique. You can trust us to ensure that it runs smoothly from the beginning to the end. Music: Our extensive music libraries cover Big Band and Swing, Jazz, R&B/Funk/Disco, Oldies, light/classic/hard Rock, Blues, Country, Dance Favorites, Specialty Tunes and Current Hits. We will entertain your entire audience regardless of age with a wide variety of appropriate music. We also work with our clients in advance of the event to determine the types of music you do and do not want to hear. We are happy to accept a list of music requests prior to the reception to ensure that we have on hand most if not all of your requested selections. Service: We spend a great deal of time preparing for each individual event. This may include meeting with our clients in advance with additional consultations via phone and email. We work with you to determine what you do and do not want in the way of music and other specialty moments. We learn how to pronounce the names of the persons in your wedding party so that when we introduce them, we do so properly! We know in advance what songs you want for your special dances and we bring good, clean copies of each to be played at the proper times. These points may seem obvious, but this is not always the case. We want to ensure that what occurs at your reception is as you had hoped it would occur. And, our DJs are not the center of attention…you are. As it should be. Sound & Lights: We offer excellent sound quality with plenty of volume on the dance floor and a comfortable level for mingling throughout the rest of the room. We bring music on computer and external hard drive to eliminate the skipping of CDs. Our light show illuminates the dance floor, adding a festive feel to the room and is appropriate for any occasion – our dance floor lights are simple and tasteful and we never bring signage promoting our business. We feel that extensive lighting and garish signs distract from the beauty and elegance of the facility that you’ve spent a great deal of time, money and energy getting to look “just right.” Presentation: We are able to provide professional and appropriate emceeing at all events, having years of experience in radio broadcasting and professional speaking. We work with other on site vendors to coordinate the specifics and the flow of the evening so everyone is aware of what is to occur and when. And above all else...nothing pleases us more than watching you and your guests dance and have FUN! Wedding Reception Times and Rates : Our packages start with a 5 to 5 ½ hour wedding reception package that includes dinner music – we set the event for 5 hours, but because we arrive an hour and a half in advance to set up, once our audio is ready to go we are happy to begin the pre-dinner background music…you will always get at least an additional half hour of background music in advance of the official start time. Our package includes dinner music – this not only provides lovely ambiance for dinner, it also ensures that our equipment will be set up before your guests arrive and that our DJ will be on site, ready to go with microphone in hand for introductions and announcements. Because we are on site prior to and during dinner, this also allows the flow of the evening to be continuous…therefore if dinner wraps up early, we are there ready to move into your special dances when the moment is right. 5-Hour Wedding Reception DJ Package : $750 within a 20 mile radius of Traverse City .
