Lisa has always derived great pleasure in planning events for her friends and family. However, she did not start out with event planning in her career plan! After graduating from college, she moved from Michigan to Colorado and worked in the field of tax accounting, earning her CPA and an MBA along the way. She finally realized that her love of organizing events wasn’t fully being utilized in the accounting field and recognized that her event planning talents might be better employed elsewhere – in the professional field of event and wedding coordination. She then formed a wedding and event planning business that quickly became one of Denver’s premier wedding planning companies.
After relocating to Traverse City in 2004, Lisa began working with Events By The Bay as a Wedding Coordinator. She has completed specialized bridal consulting training and in 2007 added Wedding Officiant to her resume and loves creating and performing ceremonies. Lisa thoroughly enjoys working out all of the details with brides and grooms to help create a perfect, stress-free wedding!
Lisa also works as a Sales Rep for Grand Traverse Woman Magazine. Her family has grown since moving to Northern Michigan - she now is the proud mother of 4 children, ranging in age from 9 months to 6 years. In the little spare time she has (what with having 4 kids!), Lisa keeps busy with exercise (boot camp is a favorite, and she is also in a soccer league - indoor and outdoor), playing Bunco with friends, reading for various book clubs, crocheting (a new hobby) and just enjoying life!
